Frequently Asked Questions

What services does Mind Monarch offer?

Mind Monarch provides high‑conflict divorce and custody coaching, resilience coaching, mediation, co‑parenting and parenting‑plan strategy, court‑readiness and communication support, and day‑of‑court support. These services are coaching and consulting only and do not include legal representation or therapy.

Are you a lawyer or therapist?

No. I am a trained Mental Health Advocate and high‑conflict divorce coach, not a lawyer or licensed therapist. Mind Monarch does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or mental health diagnosis or treatment. Clients are encouraged to maintain their own attorney and mental health providers while using Mind Monarch services.

How does day‑of‑court support work?

Day‑of‑court support offers emotional regulation tools, practical preparation, and real‑time coaching before, between, and immediately after your hearing. In‑person accompaniment, when booked, is observational and coaching‑oriented only and does not create an attorney‑client or therapist‑client relationship.

Where is in‑person support available?

In‑person day‑of‑court support is available only in the San Francisco Bay Area, including East Bay, North Bay, San Francisco, and Contra Costa County courthouses and nearby locations. Virtual support (video or phone) is available more broadly, subject to scheduling and jurisdictional limitations.

How much does in‑person day‑of‑court support cost?

The in‑person day‑of‑court package is priced at 1,111 USD for up to four consecutive hours at court for a single hearing date. Reasonable travel, tolls, and parking costs are added and disclosed in advance whenever possible, and additional time beyond four hours is billed at an extra hourly rate if available.

What is resilience coaching?

Resilience coaching focuses on building coping mechanisms, nervous‑system regulation strategies, and practical routines so you can function under pressure during high‑conflict custody and court processes. It is skills‑based, future‑focused support and does not replace therapy, medical care, or legal advice.

I am in a domestic violence case. Can my identity be protected?

For clients in domestic violence, coercive control, or stalking situations, extra care is taken to protect your identity and safety. This may include using an alias in written materials, limiting identifying details that are stored, adjusting communication methods, and avoiding in‑person work in locations that could increase your risk. You are encouraged to share any active safety concerns, protective orders, or confidentiality protections up front so services can be aligned with your safety needs from the outset.

How is my privacy protected in high‑risk cases (DV, stalking, etc.)?

For high‑risk cases, communication can be tailored to your safety plan by confirming safe devices and email addresses, limiting what appears in subject lines, and minimizing identifiable details in invoices, calendar entries, and messages whenever possible. While absolute safety or confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, services are coordinated with your existing legal protections, advocacy support, and technology‑safety guidance whenever feasible.

Do you offer payment plans?

Limited payment plans may be available for certain services and packages on a case‑by‑case basis. To request a payment plan, please email softlanding@mindmonarch.com with the service you are interested in, your court or case timeline, and any relevant accessibility or financial‑planning needs.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

All services are prepaid and generally non‑refundable; fees are earned upon booking and are not refunded for cancellations, rescheduling requests, no‑shows, or dissatisfaction with outcomes, except where required by law. Any courtesy reschedule or credit is at Mind Monarch’s sole discretion and does not create a right to future exceptions.

Do you guarantee specific outcomes in court or custody?

No. Mind Monarch cannot guarantee any particular court ruling, custody arrangement, or change in another person’s behavior. Fees are for time, expertise, and support—not for specific legal or relational results.

Is what I share kept confidential?

Information shared in coaching and mediation is kept confidential except where disclosure is required by law, court order, or concerns about imminent risk of harm. Court and courthouse environments are not fully private, so conversations may sometimes need to pause or move to protect confidentiality where possible.

Is this an emergency or crisis service?

No. Mind Monarch is not an emergency, crisis, or safety‑planning hotline and cannot respond in real time to urgent threats or deadlines. For immediate safety concerns, contact 911, a crisis or domestic violence hotline, your attorney, or local emergency services.

How do I get started?

You can submit an inquiry or book an initial session through the website’s booking or contact page. Once your booking is received, you will be sent a service agreement and intake form; both must be completed before your first session or mediation so that scope, boundaries, and policies are clear for everyone.
